The Public Safety Channel (Channel 69)
| Channel 69, the Public Safety Channel, is operated exclusively by the public safety agencies of Prince George’s County through an agreement with Comcast. It features a variety of public safety-oriented programming for the public produced by the Police Department, Fire/EMS Department, Corrections Department, Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Department as well as national public safety organizations or agencies. In addition to broadcasting programming of general interest in public safety and law enforcement and informational notices and announcements of coming events or safety tips, Channel 69 is sometimes used for employee training purposes. The channel is maintained by personnel attached to the public safety agencies. |
