County Charter Review Commission
In July, 2005, the County Council adopted CR-57-2005, which established
the 2005-06 Charter Review Commission and provided for membership.
The Commission consists of seven citizens, three (3) appointed
by the County Council, three
(3) appointed by the County Executive, and a chairperson who is
mutually agreed upon by the County Executive and the Chairman of
the County Council. Pursuant to Charter, the commission is appointed
quadrennially to comprehensively
review the provisions of the County Charter and recommend changes
where appropriate.
